Sonja opens up about her fresh start across town — and yes, her duct taped towels are finally replaced with professional blinds.

We’re back! Well, I’ve finally moved out of the townhouse where I raised my daughter and made so many beautiful memories, and I have started a new chapter of my life across town. The transition to my new apartment has definitely been an adjustment. Like I said in the episode, I do feel lighter here, but at the same time, it’s certainly smaller than I’m used to. Since the episode I’ve had some work done to the place, and much to Ramona’s chagrin — yes, the walls are peppermint pink. But, we’ve always known that Ramona likes her walls the same way she likes her wine: white. And we all know that pink is my color.

I’m happy to report that NY City Blinds (https://www.nycityblinds.com) have also been installed since then. Anybody who knows me knows how shy I am (LOL), so of course I’d be mortified if someone caught a glimpse of me naked through my windows. Everybody knows I always stay covered up…unless I’m singing cabaret with Lu…or on a girls' trip to Mexico…or St. Barts…or performing Caburlesque. Anyway, I think the monogrammed towels and duct tape got the job done. Duct tape is an amazing invention.

Seeing what Bethenny is going through with the loss of Dennis just rips my heart out, especially since she was just in such a great place. He was a good man who cared about her so deeply. He was always her go-to guy (she even went to him when she wanted to help Lu) and for Bryn to lose him as well is too much for a mother to bear.

I was also upset seeing Lu cry over her children and her relapse. She’s a great role model of strength. Going back to rehab is not a failure; it’s a brave step in the process of healing. I saw what she was going through last summer but felt that I wasn’t the right person to do the intervention, so I asked Bethenny to come in and help. Bethenny had the strength to take on that role, and she had grown close enough to Luann to do so.

I’m also glad that Lu has the support of Barbara K, who is an old friend of mine from our early Cipriani days when we were both young businesswomen who’d socialize and network there. She’s a great mom, a hard worker, and loves to have fun, so I’m glad to have her in the mix.

Ramona says she can’t swim, but put a man on the other end of the pool and all of a sudden she’s Michael Phelps. Forget a life jacket, all she would’ve needed on last year’s life-threatening boat ride was a beach full of men, and she would have made it to shore in no time.

From the swimming pool to the carpool, we jump to me and Tinsley riding out to the Hamptons together in Scott’s Bentley. Now, that makes it seem like things are pretty serious to me, and I’m almost surprised that she and Dale hadn’t gone out and bought a car seat already! I just hope Scott got her an amazing insurance policy as well, since she hasn’t driven herself in, like, forever. She got the hang of it quick enough, but I still think Luann should keep Tinsley away from the Vespas.

It was a great episode for hostess gifts between the pie, tool kit, and candle in the Luann and Tom tote. Nobody’s ever been so afraid to go near a tote bag since Bethenny gave the SkinnyGirl gift bag to Kelly Bensimon! Tune in next week to see how our complex relationships and never-ending drama unfolds. It’s hard for even me to keep up, and I live it!
