Ramona Singer Addresses Her Comments About Dennis Shields on The Real Housewives of New York City

Ramona Singer is apologizing for a comment she made about Bethenny Frankel's late loved one Dennis Shields in Wednesday night's episode of The Real Housewives of New York City.

While discussing Dennis possibly providing Luann de Lesseps with financial assistance amid her legal issues with her family last summer, Ramona made a comment criticizing his intelligence. However, she took to Twitter to show her remorse for talking about Dennis that way in her conversation with Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, and Tinsley Mortimer.

"I cringed when I saw what I said about Dennis in tonight’s episode. It definitely wasn’t one of my finer moments," she tweeted. "I respected and liked him very much and I sincerely apologize to his family and Bethenny for my thoughtless comments."

Ramona previously praised Bethenny's resilience after experiencing the sudden loss of Dennis prior to the start of Season 11 of RHONY in August 2018. "I think last season the whole drama between Bethenny and Carole [Radziwill] really did not affect the cast well, so it was good that this year Bethenny did not come in with negative energy because sometimes she can be very tough. I'm not saying I can't be tough, but she can be really tough," Ramona explained during an interview with The Daily Dish podcast earlier this month. "And she softened because of the things that happened in her personal life and I know we all felt badly for her for her loss, for her tragic loss, we felt terrible for her." 

We learned more about Bethenny and Dennis' relationship in the latest episode of RHONY, including the fact that the couple had secretly gotten engaged last April. "It was not even close to a perfect relationship. Part of me died inside. It was really bad. But I couldn't get out though, either," Bethenny said during a conversation with Dorinda. "I loved him so much and we were family and my daughter was so close to him and I knew him for so many years."
