This Is What Destiney Rose Thinks of Mercedes “MJ” Javid and Reza Farahan’s Drama

Destiney Rose is speaking out on the ongoing drama between Mercedes “MJ” Javid and Reza Farahan. The Shahs of Sunset party planner recently shared more details about the major falling out between the two former BFFs and revealed where she stands with MJ today.

As captured in the current season of Shahs of Sunset, tensions between MJ and Reza rose after the former was accused by her castmates of orchestrating rumors about Reza’s husband, Adam Neely. While their rift continues to play out on the show, Destiney says that she remains “disappointed” in MJ’s actions and that the ordeal has had a lingering impact on their friendship.

"I am hurt. There are hurt feelings for sure,” she recently told Entertainment Tonight, also adding, "I loved MJ. She literally was sister status, you know? So it breaks my heart. It sucks how everything is happening. It really does. “

As for the devastating feud between MJ and Reza, Destiney says that she believes that their main problem is a lack of communication and that the blame shouldn’t necessarily fall on only one person.

"Hurt people hurt people, plain and simple," she said. "And when you're hurting, what do you go to? You go and you want to make sure to hurt the person that is hurting you. Unfortunately, our emotions get the best of us.”

In the early episodes of Season 8, Shahs of Sunset fans saw that much of the speculation over the origin of the rumors happened while MJ was in the later stages of pregnancy and even during her time in the ICU after she gave birth. Looking back, Destiney now expresses regret about not being there for MJ, who previously stated she was “the most vulnerable” of any of her castmates this season.

"For us to not be there in her time of need, a lot of us regret some moments," Destiney said. "And a lot of us wish some things were different. But again, we're human. We all go through these things a little differently."

So does she believe MJ and Reza will ever make amends? Destiney says she hopes for a reconciliation in the future, although she makes it clear that her loyalty remains with Reza.

“Reza is my number one. He will always be, with or without this show, in life,” she explained, going on to add, “But, I pray to God that Mers and Reza get to a better place. I want to believe that."
