But there were plenty of laughs and fun times just beginning, and we can't wait to see what else the season has in store.

Of course, to fully appreciate all the nuances of Summer House, you should really go back and get to know the roomies from the beginning. Get caught up on all the Hamptons history and hookups that have gone down on Summer House by catching up on the previous three seasons here.

Below are just some of the episodes you can't miss if you want to consider yourself a Summer House connoisseur.

1. Season 1, Episode 1: "Summer House"

How the Summer House Crew Met

If you're going to relive the past three seasons, it makes sense to start at the beginning. Sure, some of the OG housemates are no longer on the show, but we still get to see Carl, Kyle, and Lindsay from the start and get to know their backgrounds and stories. This episode also introduces us to Amanda, who was, at the time, Kyle's former girlfriend. The two broke up before the summer started, but given Amanda's summer house's proximity to Kyle's, it was only a matter of time before these twin flames reignited. Also noteworthy is getting to know more about Lindsay's relationship with Everett Weston. Everett continues to make appearances in all three seasons.

Plus, this is a crossover episode with Vanderpump Rules, so you'll get to see your favorite West Coast crew in the Hamptons... what could be better? Check out the full episode here.

2. Season 1, Episode 10: "Winter Is Coming"

No One Gets Carl

In the Season 1 finale, relationships are definitely in flux. Amanda learns Kyle's considered himself single all summer and has been hooking up with other girls, and while she's upset, Kyle says he's discovered through it all that he wants to be exclusive with Amanda. Unfortunately, the two get into an argument at the Hamptons White Party, and their relationship is definitely in jeopardy. Meanwhile, after a summer of hooking up, Carl sabotages his friendship with Lauren Wirkus by leaving to meet up with another girl... and even he's shocked and confused by his own self-destructive behavior. Lindsay speaks to her estranged mother over the phone for the first time in a long time, and twins Ashley Wirkus McAtee and Lauren finally say their goodbyes as Ashley heads to Cali. Check out the full episode here.

3. Season 2, Episode 1: "Passing the Torch"

It's the First Night of Summer House and Carl Drama Explodes

Tensions over the rooming situation run rampant as the roomies return to the summer house, accompanied by some newbies: Carl's friend Amit Neuman, and Carl's ex Danielle Olivera. Of course, that's not the only tension: Lauren and Carl are officially dunzo, as Lauren thought the two were an item once they returned to the city and Carl didn't get that memo. Kyle breaks his rule of "no couples in the summer house" — and so newly single Lindsay (who recently broke up with Everett, who is not in the summer house this year) decides to pass the torch to him and Amanda. Oh, and Lauren is flying solo, as her sister Ashley is living back in California with her husband.

Carl's new catchphrase — "Less stress, more life" — is driving Stephen McGee crazy at his dinner party the first night. And a shirtless Carl continues to annoy him at the Gay Pride parade back in NYC. Check out the full episode here.

4. Season 2, Episode 5: "Smashelorette"

Stephen McGee Shares a Surprising Story From Carl Radke's Past

Kyle and Amanda are moving forward, as he offers her the keys to his apartment — a big step. Back in the Hamptons, Ashley's back in town for their older sister's bachelorette party — and unfortunately for Carl, Lauren's twin is there to take up for her on every front, which results in her smashing a watermelon. Hey, it happens.

We also find out what exactly has changed in Carl and Stephen's friendship when Stephen drops a bombshell — and you're going to want to hear what he has to say. Check out the full episode here.

5. Season 2, Episode 8: "Say It with Flowers"

Stephen McGee Asks His Parents to Fully Accept Him as a Gay Man

At Kyle's 35th birthday party, the housemates protest growing up with a Boston Tea Party-themed party... and the tea gets spilled, literally, all into the pool. Oops. Everett shows up, which throws Lindsay into a tailspin. The Everett drama continues the following weekend, when the roomies celebrate Lindsay's birthday with a "Hubbana Nights" party.

On a trip back home to visit family in Alabama, Stephen decides to confront his parents about their refusal to accept his sexuality. It's an emotional episode for sure — and one you definitely don't want to miss. Check out the full episode here.

6. Season 2, Episode 9: "Summer Should Be Fun!"

The Summer Should Be Fun

Four words: Summer. Should. Be. Fun.

This is an iconic episode for those words alone, spoken by Kyle to Amanda, whom he deems "not fun." Ouch. Meanwhile, Amanda's getting increasingly frustrated by Kyle's constant partying and just wants him to grow up. And after a steady night of Kyle drinking, Mr. and Mrs. Send It were definitely at odds. We'll just leave it at that. Check out the full episode here.

7. Season 3, Episode 1: "Elephant in the Room"

Yes, Kyle Cooke DID write a Seventeen Page Email to His Summer House Mates

Change is inevitable, and there was definitely a lot of it with this season premiere! While Carl, Kyle, Lindsay, Amanda, and Danielle are back, we also welcome some new people: Hannah, Paige, and Jordan Verroi, who all work together. And the drama starts immediately, with the group separating for dinner. But it seems the newbies are a welcome addition, as there is some definite beef between Amanda, Lindsay, and Danielle. Lindsay also makes a shocking allegation about Kyle and Amanda's relationship... which casts a shadow over the entire season. Oh, did we mention that Kyle sent his roomies a 17-page email before they even reached the Hamptons? Check out the full episode here.

8. Season 3, Episode 4: "Pantry Passion"

You Won't Believe Who Is DTF With Carl Radke

If you thought a pantry was just a walk-in cabinet to store household goods, think again, friends. On this episode, we learned that it's a great place to utilize if you want to hook up — because of course no one ever thought of putting a camera in there. Paige and Carl definitely made use of the pantry, even though Carl had been trying to not get involved with a housemate again. Also, Danielle learned about all the smack Jordan was talking about her after their make-out... and the guys are definitely starting to question his wild stories, especially after a particularly outrageous story of the time he lost his virginity. Check out the full episode here.

9. Season 3, Episode 10: "True or False"

Kyle Cooke Breaks the Cheating News to Amanda Batula

The rumors finally come to a head and it's time for Kyle to tell Amanda that he may have cheated on her. As you could probably expect, it wasn't well-received, and she decides to ignore him while he anxiously awaits her decision about whether or not to stay together. Meanwhile, the roomies definitely have questions about Jordan and all his make-out tall tales... such as, is he a virgin? Check out the full episode here.

10. Season 3, Episode 14: "Will You Bury Me?"

Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula Are Officially…

It's the last weekend of the summer, and the housemates reunite for a "Death to Summer" party. Kyle and Amanda host a party introducing their adult beverage, Lover Boy, and Kyle decides to ask Amanda's father for her hand in marriage. Despite Amanda's father's cautious reaction, Kyle decides to go for it, and asks Amanda to marry him! Check out the full episode here.
