Scheana Shay has been happily in a relationship with Brock Davies since September 2019, and it was pretty early on in their romance that she knew he had a lot of potential and that he was quite possibly the man she wanted to start a family with, even if it took her a little bit of time to come to that conclusion.

Scheana recently opened up about why Brock was the one in an interview with Bravo Insider. "From the time I met him, he was just so amazing that it scared me away. And I tried to push him away for several weeks, and he wouldn't let me, thankfully," the Vanderpump Rules mom-to-be recalled about those early days with the fitness expert and athlete.

She continued, "And I was like, 'OK, well, this guy's not going anywhere, so maybe I should give him a chance.' And then about six weeks in, he had a rugby game in Australia and was gonna be out there visiting his family for like six weeks and was like, 'Do you want to come out?' And I'm like, 'I mean, well yeah, now I like you, and we just started talking. Like, I don't I want to go six weeks without seeing you.' And on that trip when I met his family and we went to Bali and he told me he loved me, I was just like, I have never felt anything like that before."

A few months into the relationship, after taking Brock to BravoCon and showing him that part of her world, Scheana explained, "And then, you know, fast forward four, five months, we're in a pandemic living together. And it was just such a fast forward in the relationship that I would never normally move in with someone I've only been dating six months. But it was like, what are our options? I wanted to get the hell out of L.A. [as I was in Marina del Rey at that time]. I'm like, what if they have like armed guards like blocking it off, and like I can't actually leave my apartment? We didn't know how bad the lockdown was gonna be. So I'm like, I have a beautiful house in Palm Springs. I think it would be better to be living in a house than stuck in an apartment with two cats where I might not be able to leave. And he, at the time, was in an apartment in San Diego. I'm like, why don't we just meet in Palm Springs? We thought it was gonna be maybe a couple weeks. And that turned into four months living together."

But, Scheana noted, for the most part, that extra time spent together "was amazing," even with a few emotional ups and downs along the way. "In that time, we got pregnant, we unfortunately had a miscarriage, and then we got pregnant again [which she confirmed back in October]. And he's just been so amazing. He's so supportive. But he also doesn't put up with my s--t. And he challenges me. And he pushes me. And I've never really had that before," Scheana shared. "I'm used to being with someone more passive, who kind of bows down and lets me take the reins. And he's very much a type-A personality like myself. So we definitely butt heads at times, but in the best way possible. 'Cause I know every time I get annoyed with him pushing me, he's doing it because he just wants me to be the best version of myself."

Cut to one year after they moved in together during the early days of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and now Scheana and Brock are just weeks away from welcoming their first child together. They are expecting a baby girl very soon.

Brock, who is already a dad, has offered up some advice to the first-time mom on what to expect from parenthood. "Just to not stress myself out all the time. He's like, 'It's a kid. We're gonna be fine. She's gonna be all right. You don't need to freak out over every little thing.' And I'm like, I don't think I will. But then I think I will at the same time. I'm terrified of something happening to her already, and she's still safe inside of me. So I just need to stay calm, know that this isn't his first rodeo. We have my family [in L.A.]. And it's all gonna work out," she said.
